We left at 6:20 am. the weather was horrible, we turned on news radio to get traffic conditions and hear the weather is calling for SNOW! thank goodness we are heading south.

The kids were great, completely plugged in to the dvd player the whole trip.. we only stopped 4 times very briefly and arrived in Novato at 7:15.

We went out to eat when we arrived in Novato, Cap and Gale were not home yet and we were starved... All the restaurants were packed! welcome to California... We ate at a pasta place and the food was excellent.. the man in the table next to us talked to the manager about his new movie he was working on for Lucas Films, located here in Marin County.

Cap and Gale are great! they set us up nicely for the night and Cap has a full day planned for us tomorrow in San Francisco.

Sorry, its too late now for any pictures, but we did take a bunch along our travels.. Mt Shasta and lake Shasta looked amazing.. we definitely need to go there for a trip.

I will try to get some picts up in the morning...

9:40 pm.. the car is 90% loaded.. i am 90% packed.. Kids asleep :)

we set the alarm for 5 am. I hope to be on the road by 6.

I set up the dvd player to sti between the seats.. 10 movies and two dvds that Kyle burned of Disney channel.. they have headphones, I have a nice cd player in the Saturn Ion and the kids have headphones. I bought the new Kristen Hersh cd, very excited to listen to that.. perhaps several times.

Tomorrow night when we arrive in Novato, CA I will hopefully be able to load up some pictures from our exciting 14 hours in the car!
