I was determined to see Lemolo at this show because Megan and Kendra had a falling out I guess and Kendra, the drummer, left the band. Megan found a new drummer. Kendra's drumming style was so unique, I was really concerned by this change. No disrespect to Kendra, but wow, this new drummer is pretty good.
The first thing I noticed during the first song is that the drum routine or whever the technical term is, didn't change. She played it like Kendra did.
It was only when we got to the new stuff that we could see her shine. When she started playing the Xylophone on one new song, I was sold!
They played nearly an hour. Bronwen, Mark and I had a covered table because it was lightly raining, but I had a hard time sitting still! I moved around and took pictures and video.
Great first performance of the lunch box concerts. Oddly, the next one I am excited about is the LAST concert, featuring March Forth Marching Band. If you have never experienced it, it is like the circus came to town and played a song to celebrate!
