Craig turns 50!

Yep, it happened.

I dreaded this birthday for a decade, but after my cancer stuff,  I looked at this birthday in a whole new light.  I feel better than I have in a year at least.   My surgery was 6 weeks ago to the day of my birthday and I am fully recovered.

Even better, the chemo pills I reluctantly agreed to try, did not arrive before my day.

My birthday started early. On Thursday, the day before,  Bronwen brought home flowers, a nice card and a KEY LIME PIE from the Pie place in the Junction I have been meaning to try.  It was really good.

On Friday,  we took our first Uber and headed to Chupacabra, of course.  I have not been there since my diagnosis.  I stopped drinking alcohol  5 days before the surgery and during the 6 week recovery.   I was ready for a beer!

The Uber driver was great!  I had to make him wait as he got there in minutes and I expected it would take a bit longer.   We got to the bar and soon some of our friends came in and we had a great time.

The Uber going home was a bit more problematic but we worked it out.  The first driver showed up at my house,  not the bar..   doh!   The next driver showed up shortly after that and got us home quickly.
We took a pit stop at home then went up to the Bowling alley for some nachos.    It was nice to see the familiar servers there,  but the nachos were awful.   Oh well

Saturday I went to my mothers to celebrate mine and my moms birthday.  She was sick though but we had pizza and cake at Crista's . Kelsey came with me, but Jess had to work.

On Sunday,  Easter,   Bronwen had to work so I spent the last day of my birthday weekend watching Star Trek Voyager on Netflix.  Perfect end to a great weekend!
