My niece Maddie married her fiance Mitch in a ceremony in Poulsbo. It was a great event which started for me on Friday.
Bronwen and I left after I got off work on Friday. We went to the Silverdale Beach Hotel and checked in to our room. We met up with Cap, Joyce, Ron and Kim shortly after we checked in. Cap, B and I went over to Hojacks for a beer before dinner at the Yacht Club Broiler.
We arrived to join Dan, Tony, Mike and my mom for dinner. It was a fun dinner, we all switched seats occaisionaly to chat with other members of the family. After dinner, Cap and I ventered back out to Hopjacks for nightcap.
I didn't sleep at all even with a nightcap. I left around 8 am Saturday and picked up Kelsey. We went bacl to the hotel and met everyone for breakfast. After Breakfast, Ron, Kim and Joyce went to Poulsbo to sightsee. Bronwen had an errand to run so we stayed behind with Cap. Cap had to run an errand so we walked Caps dog, Jack for a while.
We left for the wedding that afternoon. Parked at the 12 trees business park, and waited for the late running, very busy shuttle to take us to the venue.
When we arrived, we were treated to the bar, already open, along with many games, pinball, shuffleboard, and foosball.
The wedding was outside under a tent. The theme of the wedding was light and fun. Each read their vows, made by them. Maddies vows was to buy a lot of shoes! It was pretty humoour event.
The ceremony was short. After the ceremony we all chatted and visited with those we don't see very often.
Dinner was served, bbq, no veg option.. I had potato salad! We all wondered where the salad was? Later we found uot, it was at Cristas house! She had forgot it. Oh well, that was really the only issue, and not a big one either. Everything went really well, despite being cold. Cake was a huge table covered in doughnuts! Guests were encouraged to grab a custom wedding bag and take one home.
After the wedding we went back to the Hotel. We were all ready for a snack, so B, Kelsey, Cap and I went back to Hopjacks for a late snack.
the next am, we had brunch at Cristas.
